How do I book a room at The Student Lodge?
You can book directly online at any time. Alternatively, contact our team to arrange a free in-person viewing first — we're happy to show you around before you commit.
When can I book for the 2026/27 academic year?
Bookings for 2026/27 are open now. Rooms are in high demand so we recommend booking early to avoid missing out on your preferred room type. Check availability today.
Can I view a room before booking?
Absolutely — we offer free in-person viewings at a time that suits you. Contact our team to arrange yours. We'd love to show you around.
Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my room?
Yes, a deposit is required to secure your room. Your deposit is fully protected by the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) for complete peace of mind, and will be returned at the end of your tenancy subject to the terms of your agreement.
What is your cancellation policy?

Can I reserve a room on the waiting list if nothing is available?
Yes. If your preferred room type is fully booked, you can join our waiting list and we'll contact you as soon as something becomes available.
Bills, Costs & Payments
What is included in my weekly rent?
Everything. Your weekly rent includes gas, electricity, water, high-speed Wi-Fi, contents insurance, and all on-site facilities. Your room is fully furnished. There are no hidden costs — ever.
How much does it cost to live at The Student Lodge?
Rooms start from £89 per week for an Executive En-Suite, rising to £169 per week for a Duplex Studio. All prices include all bills. See our room types page for the full breakdown.
Are there any charges on top of my rent?
No. All bills and facilities are included in your weekly rent. The only exception would be if you use on-site laundry machines, which are paid separately via the Laundry Top Up service.
How do I pay my rent?
Rent payments are managed through your online account at booking.thestudentlodge.co.uk. Card payments can also be made via the Worldpay Portal. Contact our team if you need help with payments.
Is a guarantor required?
Guarantor requirements depend on your individual booking. Please contact us or check your booking confirmation for details specific to your tenancy.
Rooms & Facilities
What room types are available?
We offer a range of en-suite rooms and studio apartments: Executive En-Suite, Deluxe En-Suite, Superior Studio, Executive Studio, Deluxe Studio, Super Deluxe Studio, Premier Deluxe Studio, and Duplex Studio. See our room types page for photos and pricing.
Are the rooms furnished?
Yes, all rooms are fully furnished. You'll find a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, and shelving as standard. En-suite rooms also have shared kitchen and lounge areas; studios come with a private kitchen area.
Is there a gym at The Student Lodge?
Yes — all residents have free access to a fully equipped 24/7 on-site gym at no extra charge.
What other facilities are available?
Residents enjoy a cinema room, quiet study room, common room with Sky TV, secure bike storage, secure parcel room, on-site laundry, fob-controlled entry, and 24/7 CCTV security and concierge. All included in your rent.
How fast is the Wi-Fi?
We provide high-speed broadband throughout all buildings. Wi-Fi is included in your rent — no separate contract or router needed.
Is there parking at The Student Lodge?
On-site parking is not available. However, Nottingham has excellent public transport links and all our buildings are well-served by local bus routes. Secure bike storage is available on site free of charge.
Moving In
When can I move in?
Move-in dates vary by tenancy and academic year. Your move-in date will be confirmed in your booking. If you need to arrange early access, please contact our team in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
What do I need to bring?
Your room is fully furnished, so you just need to bring your personal belongings — bedding, towels, kitchen items (for en-suite rooms with shared kitchens), and anything that makes it feel like home. Studios include kitchen equipment.
How do I collect my keys on move-in day?
Our on-site concierge team will be available on your move-in day to welcome you and hand over your room key and building fob. Arrival instructions will be sent to you ahead of your move-in date.
Can I move in outside of standard check-in times?
Please let us know in advance if you need to arrive outside of your scheduled check-in window and we will try to arrange this. Contact our team as early as possible.
Life at The Student Lodge
What happens in an emergency?
Our on-site team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In an emergency, contact the on-site concierge immediately. For life-threatening emergencies, always call 999 first.
How do I report a maintenance issue?
You can report any maintenance issues to our on-site team directly, or contact us via email at info@thestudentlodge.co.uk. We aim to resolve issues quickly and keep you updated throughout.
Are guests allowed?
Guests are welcome to visit. Overnight guests are permitted subject to the terms of your tenancy agreement. Please be considerate of your fellow residents. Speak to the on-site team if you have any questions.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately pets are not permitted at The Student Lodge.
Is The Student Lodge accredited or regulated?
Yes. The Student Lodge is ISO 9001 certified for quality management, a member of The Property Ombudsman, and deposits are protected by the Deposit Protection Service (DPS). You're in safe hands.
