Where students live in Nottingham

Most students end up in a handful of neighbourhoods. The rent, the bus route and the noise are different in each.

Radford and Hyson Green

This is where most of our buildings are. Shops and takeaways are close, and NCT buses run into the centre and out to the campuses. It is busy. If you want a quiet street, look at the specific building rather than the postcode.

Lenton, Dunkirk and Beeston

Lenton sits under University Park, so a lot of University of Nottingham students live there in shared houses. Dunkirk and Beeston are further along the same side of the city. We do not have buildings there.

The centre, Arboretum and West Bridgford

The centre is convenient and louder. Arboretum and Forest Fields are north of that, with cheaper houses and a longer walk. West Bridgford, south of the Trent, is quieter. Our building there is 102A Chaworth Road.

Each of our building pages has the address and an estimated journey to the campuses. Use those figures, then check the timetable for the bus you would actually catch.
